Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi

The cost of construction of the hotel would be about $3 billion. The work began in 2001 and were completed in 2005. The hotel became fully operational in 2006 and has since hosted the Heads of State of the Arabian Peninsula at a summit of the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council).

The entry is free with proper dress required: Blouse, polo, dress. Avoid short clothes (skirts below the knee, shoulders covered, no bermudas, no shorts). Dhoes must be closed (no flip-flops). If you are arrested by the security, simply announce that you visit the hotel and its temporary exhibitions. It is possible that access is not possible during official visits from heads of state.

If the marble, the gold and the luxury to death does not frighten you, your stay at the Emirates Palace will be an unforgettable experience. The hotel has 400 rooms and suites. You will have the choose between three rooms categories: coral, pearl and diamond, the third one being the more luxurious. If you opt for a suite, six configurations exist with up to three bedrooms; all suites have at least one terrace with remarkable view.

Contrary to what you might think, this luxury is not inaccessible since the price of the rooms in low season begins to 1000AED approximately, which is certainly expensive, but not necessarily much more expensive than most of 5-star establishments with beach access in the UAE. The hotel is very well located near the corniche of Abu Dhabi and is located 30 minutes by car from the international airport of Abu Dhabi. The Emirates Palace offers transfers in a limousine or helicopter from any place in the United Arab Emirates.

The Emirates Palace has 14 bars, restaurants and lounges. For grilled meats and seafood on a terrace overlooking the waters of the Persian Gulf, or just for a shisha at the end of the evening, it is the BBQ Al Qasr you must go. Mezzaluna is an Italian restaurant with terrace overlooking the marina. To eat fresh products from the sea, rendez-vous at the restaurant Sayad or Mezlai, one of the few Emirati gourmet restaurants of the city. Hakkasan is a Chinese restaurant referenced by the famous French Michelin Cuisine guide. By swimming pools, casual food can be ordered. Also, Vendome Restaurant offers throughout the day an international buffet on the ground floor of the hotel. The coffee, located in the parties accessible to visitors of passage, serves refreshments (it is mandatory to spend a minimum 100AED per person).
