Sharjah Aquarium and Sharjah Maritime Museum

The Sharjah Aquarium is typical of the genre with more than 150 species presented, including manta rays and sharks on the surface of the water near visitors.

Admission costs 25AED per adult and 15AED per child up to 12 years old. Children under 2 years old do not pay. There is a family formula at 70AED for two adults and their children (up to 3 children). The site is open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 8pm, except Fridays with an opening time at 4pm. The aquarium is closed on Sundays. Count an hour or so for the visit.

This museum traces the evolution of ships used in the region, from the small light craft to the imposing dhows still in operation today. The opportunity to understand the maritime trade routes borrowed by Arab traders, and their relationship with the winds.

The site is open every day from 8am to 8pm except Friday with an opening time at 4pm. Unlike the aquarium, this museum is open on Sundays. The museum with only one large exhibition hall can be visited in 20 to 30 minutes.
