Madinat Jumeirah: souk, restaurants and ballad on the water

Central part of the Madinat Jumeirah complex, the souk is clearly positioned on the high-end, with Arabian souvenir shops: Persian rugs, wrought iron lamps, cashmere fabrics, various souvenirs... The range of shops is similar to the ones that can be found at Souk Al Bahar (next to Dubai Mall).

The main activity at Madinat Jumeirah, aside from shopping and eating, is to walk through the complex's canals in Abra. The pier is at the restaurant level, and a sign indicates Abra Tours. The price is relatively high: 85AED per person (40AED for children under 4 years).

Madinat Jumeirah also has a theater where many shows are played, mostly in English.

Bars and restaurants are plentiful on the complex, and almost all have a liquor license. The most pleasant - and the most popular - are along the canal, some with views of the Burj Al Arab. In the evening in high season, it is strongly recommended to hold a reservation. The tariff positioning is in the middle high of the city of Dubai.

At souk Madinat there are three magnificent hotels of the Jumeirah chain. The three are our Dubai favorites: we strongly recommend them if you want to spend a great holiday. It is the Al Qasr Madinat Jumeirah, the Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf and the Jumeirah Mina A Salam .

Located in the complex, they all offer pedestrian access, souks, restaurants along the canals and the beach.

Madinat Jumeirah has a two-level underground car park, which quickly reaches its saturation point. In the late afternoon and evening, especially on weekends, better take a taxi. By metro exit at Mall of Emirates station, then take a taxi to cover the remaining kilometer.
