Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi is the water theme park of Yas Island. Inaugurated in 2013, the 43 attractions are dedicated to thrill seekers. Crazy toboggans, artificial rivers where you float on buoys, pools with giant waves to try surfing. Enough to delight young and old, and cool off during high temperatures. In this article you will find information about the visit, including the entrance fee, the price of passes, and our review of Yas WaterWorld Abu Dhabi, and how to get there from Dubai.

Attractions for adrenaline junkies

Abu Dhabi's Yas Waterworld Park has six thrilling attractions, reserved for older kids and adults (1.1 meters minimum), and where you have to go without a cap, glasses or jewelery.

If you need to learn hos to surf, go to the Rush Rider, a wave in an artificial pool to practice surfing. And as soon as you're confirmed, head for Bubble's Barrel, the giant wave.

The attraction Dawwama allows to experience in a raft of six people a fall of 20 meters in a tornado movement. Guaranteed chills.

The Liwa Loop, which takes its name from the Liwa Desert, where there is absolutely no water, is an aquatic attraction with giant water slides. The higher will be the start, the more terrible will be the descent! In the same genre there is also Jebel Drop attraction.

If you've got your heart still hanging on, head over to Hamlool's Humps, an infernal descent with three big bumps that will propel your boat into the air before crashing back into the water.

Less extreme attractions

If so far the presentation of the attractions of Yas WaterWorld Abu Dhabi water park has scared you a little, and if you wonder what you will be able to do while your teenagers have crazy fun on the toboggans of death, here are some less thrilling attractions but still exciting.

In the genre Water Coaster, ie beautiful walks on the water with some small rapids, attractions Falcon's Falaj, Sebag (water races), Serpent Spin (course in the darkness in the light of fluorescent diodes) or Slither Alley (in the same genre).

Other fun water rides like Slither Surprise, Snake's tail or Bandit Bomber will make you have a good time.

Quiet attractions

Always scared by the names of the attractions and their promises? For you, a stay at Yas WaterWorld Abu Dhabi should be just a splash in the water? Rest assured, the Yas Island Water Park also features eight attractions much more relaxing such as Amwaj, Al Raha River (also known as Lazy River), Side Winder.

And also with a little more action the Viper Strike, Water Wars (the balloon war is raging in the pool), Jabah Zone, Cannon Point.

Attractions for the little ones

And if you want something even quieter for your kids, the Marah Fortress, Tot's Playground and Yehal attractions will boast beautiful pools with a few jets of water, just steps from cafés and restaurants.

Opening hours and practical information

Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi is open daily from 10am to 7pm. Better to plan to spend the day there. For exact prices and schedules visit the official website.

Compulsory swimsuit, one piece or two pieces, avoiding too sexy models, and models with metallic elements that can hurt or damage the attractions. Personal equipment such as buoys, floats and armbands are not allowed.

The price of admission tickets (and other fees)

The adult admission ticket and children over 1.1 meters is set to 240AED. For less queuing, take the Silver and Gold tickets at 340AED and 460AED respectively. For children under 1.1 meters there is a reduction of 45AED compared to the adult ticket. Children under 3 years old do not pay, upon presentation of an ID.

There is a possibility to have a combined ticket with Ferrari World Park. If you want to do both parks the same day, the combined ticket costs 290AED for adults and children over 1.3 meters (yes not 1.1 meters, because it takes into account the minimum size of the park Ferrari), and 240AED for less than 1.3 meters. We do not recommend taking this option on the weekend (Friday, Saturday, and during local holidays) because of the affluence that makes it difficult to divide the day into two. The same two-day combined ticket costs 335AED (285AED for less than 1.3 meters). This is probably the best choice. There are more expensive combined tickets (Silver and Gold) which reduce the queues, to favor the week-end and holidays when the attendance reaches record levels.

Note that on the Groupon UAE website, there are regular discount offers for Yas WaterWorld Abu Dhabi. Several versions of the Entertainer offer coupons 2 for 1.

Like most parks of its kind, it is expected that you will consume on-site refreshments and food in one of the 9 cafés and restaurants. Depending on the ticket category, the entry ticket includes a voucher of 5AED to 15AED. Several shops sell themed merchandise and souvenirs.

It is not allowed to bring food or drinks.
